If there were no protest…
Orit Hazzan
They say the war broke out because of the social protest
but
If there were no protest, we wouldn’t have a people’s army
If there were no protest, we wouldn’t remember why we are here
If there were no protest, we wouldn’t realize how much we love our country
If there were no protest, we wouldn’t be so familiar with the Declaration of Independence
If there were no protest, we wouldn’t have reconnected to our flag and to our anthem
If there were no protest, we wouldn’t know how to fight for a dream
If there were no protest, we wouldn’t know what Kaplan is and come support the families of the kidnapped
If there were no protest, who would welcome the families of the kidnapped at the UN?
If there were no protest, there wouldn’t have been a technological infrastructure ready for the immediate launch of the civilian War Room
If there were no protest, we would be really surprised by the government’s failure to function
If there were no protest, there would no longer be a strong supreme court to protect our soldiers during the war
If there were no protest, we would have forgotten that we are a people
If there were no protest,
so I believe,
when the war broke out,
we would not already be in the midst of a battle for the existence of the state, prepared for war and ready to fight for its spirit
and maybe it would have been too late,
and we would not have been able to save it.
But,
there was a protest…
and so thanks to the protest,
we will win the war and rebuild our country and nation.
